This week my oldest daughter turns 31. Where did the time go? When she and her younger sister were babes I traced their sweet little handprints to applique onto pillows. They matched a Log Cabin quilt I made for my parents who were decorating with greens and browns. The quilt was hung on the wall above their sofa and has remained there for the last 29 years!
As a military family we never lived close to my parents but we visited as often as we could, when relocating or during summer breaks. Those pillows were always on the sofa and at each visit we would compare the size of the girls' hands - past and present.
Though faded from age and sunlight, those handprint pillows are a reminder of how quickly our days go by. Our daughters were and are such a blessing. The pillows are a precious treasure.

to the holy place
and bless the Lord!"
