A friend in my quilting guild recently moved out of state. Over the years we had worked together on several quilt projects and I wanted to give her a going away present. She had been especially fond of a vintage Little Dutch Girl quilt that sold at our bi-annual auction, but she did not win it. I liked the quilt, too, and we talked about the pattern as being such a different "bonnet girl." She said she had the pattern somewhere, located it, and gave it to me. I set it aside as a future project. So, I pulled out the pattern, made some alterations to the face and flowers, and created this purple version as a pillow. I must say I will never make a whole quilt of the little girl - just too much embroidery for me. Loved the way it finished, especially where the top fabric shows the wrong side of the fabric. Best wishes, Carol!
